Dear Annual Member of the Purdue Alumni Association:

Your Purdue Alumni Association is an independent, membership-driven organization and your membership dues support PAA programs and membership services. Since the last dues increase in 1996, we have added or enhanced several PAA programs and services. Some of the things we've done include:
* Expanded the PAA Local Clubs program by adding more Clubs and additional Clubs staff;
* Improved the look and functionality of the PAA Web site (www.purdue.edu/paa);
* Enhanced the bi-monthly Purdue Alumnus magazine and added an online version for members only;
* Implemented programs for future alumni: Purdue Alumni Association Student Ambassadors
(PAASA) and Purdue Alumni Kids Club (PAK);
* Increased the financial support provided to individual school alumni organizations; and,
* Established a Young Alumni program to help new graduates stay connected to Purdue.

If you've ever wanted to be a Life member in PAA, now is the time! Effective July 1, 2002, individual Life membership dues will increase from $450 to $600. Joint membership dues will increase from $500 to $650. Annual membership dues will increase by $10. Despite the dues increase, PAA membership dues will remain among the lowest in the Big Ten.

Now through September 1, 2002, all current annual members have the opportunity to convert their annual membership into Life membership at the lower dues rate ($450 for an individual or $500 for joint). In addition, all annual members who convert to Life membership by September 1, 2002, will receive an exclusive PAA T-shirt.

As a PAA member you will continue to enjoy benefits such as:
* Subscription to the Purdue Alumnus
* Special group rate insurance plans
* The PAA Calendar/date book
* Career Services
* Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU)
* The opportunity to participate in international alumni tours and Purdue Bowl game tours
* A vote in the selection of PAA board of directors and alumni trustees
* Discounts on select car rentals and hotel reservations and on moving expenses with North
American Van Lines/Interstate Agent

We appreciate your commitment to PAA. As an Association member, you can look forward to your Alumni Association providing additional programming and services to fit your needs. To enroll as a Life member at the lower dues rate, just complete the enclosed enrollment form and return it to PAA by September 1, 2002.
